There are so many great places to celebrate the 4th of July here in Loudoun County and the fun lasts for days.

You can’t beat a parade and Leesburg has a great Independence Day parade, especially for families.  The parade starts at 10:00am and you want to be there early to get your spot on the parade route that runs through Historic Downtown Leesburg on King St (from Ida Lee Park to Fairfax St.)  Another parade option is on Main St in the town of Purcellville, starting around noon.

If your idea of the perfect 4th includes fireworks lighting up the sky there are lots of July 4th evening options – Ida Lee Park in Leesburg, the Community Center in Middleburg, Franklin Park in Purcellville, and near the lakes in Ashburn Village (off Ashburn Village Parkway).

Perhaps you want to make it a long weekend.  Check out Lansdowne Resort’s  four day long Independence Day Celebration with fun, food and fireworks. Fireworks are the night of the 5th and Resort events and fireworks are only available to overnight guests of Lansdowne Resort and Spa and members of The Golf Club at Lansdowne so get a room and make your celebration a staycation.  Whatever you do, have a fun and fabulous 4th!
